Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner. Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients, plan individual care, and document accurately. Administer medications safely, transport patients, and maintain therapeutic environments. Accept charge responsibilities, assign staff based on acuity, and facilitate staff development. Reassess patient conditions, evaluate responses, and modify care plans accordingly. Maintain work areas and personal appearance reflecting professionalism. Requires prolonged standing for up to twelve hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly
- Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day
- Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
- AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- At least one year of emergency experience preferred
- TNCC Preferred
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire
- At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred
- At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred
