Registered Nurse - Post-Surgical - FT Days/Nights

Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care by performing comprehensive assessments, identifying patient problems, and developing individualized care plans with attainable outcomes. Administer medications and solutions safely while documenting accurately and timely. Reassess patient conditions, evaluate responses, and modify care plans accordingly. Accept charge responsibilities, assign staff based on acuity, and facilitate staff development. Maintain therapeutic environments and work areas reflecting professionalism. This role requires prolonged standing for up to twelve hours daily and includes float pool or specialized unit assignments such as telemetry, critical care, oncology, or emergency departments. Candidates must hold a nursing license in Tennessee and obtain required certifications like BLS, ACLS, and PALS within specified timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly
- Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day
- Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
- AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
- At least one year of emergency experience preferred
- TNCC Preferred
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire
- At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred
- At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred
