Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Post Partum/Nursery responsibilities include providing obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care in a holistic, patient-centered environment. Deliver emotional support and education alongside high-quality medical care to meet patient needs, with a focus on perinatal populations. Utilize equipment such as fetal monitors and NICU-related devices, perform comprehensive assessments, plan and modify care, educate patients and families, and coordinate discharge planning. The role requires ability to work in a high-stress Perinatal OB-GYN unit, stand up to 12-hour shifts, and return to work within 1 hour when on call. Located in Nashville, TN; on-site hospital setting with patient populations ranging from neonatal to adult. Perinatal-focused nursing expertise, ACLS/NRP readiness within specified timelines, and Tennessee licensure are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- NRP within six months of hire.
- ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- Able to function in stressful situations.
- Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call.
- At least one year perinatal experience preferred.
