Job Summary
Provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care in a perinatal/OB-GYN unit. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, planning individualized care and discharge needs, ensuring safe medication administration, documentation, and on-call readiness. Requires Tennessee RN licensure, a nursing diploma or degree, and certifications: BLS (within 90 days), NRP (within 6 months), and ACLS (within 6 months). Perinatal experience is preferred. Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours, lift up to 250 lbs with assistance, and work under pressure; on-call with willingness to return within 1 hour. Proficiency with neonatal equipment and patient/family education is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- At least one year perinatal experience preferred.
- NRP within six months of hire.
- ACLS certification or agree to obtain within six months of hire.
- Able to function in stressful situations.
- Able to return to work within 1 hour when on call.
