Registered Nurse Post-op Waiting Room Liaison

Registered Nurse Post-op Waiting Room Liaison in a non-clinical role within Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s Perioperative Services. Responsibilities include directing patient flow and delivering high-quality care coordination in a fast-paced surgical/recovery environment, with direct patient care activities such as assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance, educating patients and families on post-treatment care, and collaborating with the interprofessional team to develop and document individualized plans of care. Requires strong communication and de-escalation skills; RN with a minimum of two years of RN experience; Magnet Hospital designation among the highlights of the department’s environment. This role is on a daytime, Monday–Friday shift pattern (5A-3:30P) with no weekends or holidays; affected by the safety-sensitive nature of nursing work.
