Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and evaluate individualized care plans, and provide education to patients and families. Monitor patient progress, maintain accurate records, and advocate for patient rights while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Support nursing research initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned to the healthcare team. Commit to 18 months of full-time service at St. Paul's Hospital following completion of the fully funded Critical Care Nursing Certificate program.
Required Qualifications
- You must be a registered nurse in Canada in good standing and be eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Minimum of 1-2 year medical or surgical experience
- Demonstrated competence in performing CPR procedures
- Experience in teamwork, decision-making and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated a teaching aptitude
- Proficient in clinical leadership
- Participants in the program must commit to 18 months of full-time service with PHC after completing the program

- Paid wages at 100% of the posted FTE for eligbile program components
- Upon completing the program, you'll receive a Critical Care Nursing Certificate
