Job Summary
Registered Nurse Pool NICU position in UCHealth’s Denver NICU Enterprise Float Pool. This onsite role operates on Day and Night rotations with a full-time schedule (72 hours per pay period). Direct care is provided within Women’s Care and Infants units (Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery - Birth Center, NICU) following AWHONN/AACN practice standards (RNC-OB, C-EFM, NRP, CCRN). The role includes precepting newer staff, contributing to safety and quality at the point of care, and ongoing professional development supported by UCHealth’s total rewards program. Required RN licensure, RN program graduation, and NRP/BLS CPR credentials are specified, along with potential for professional growth through education benefits and tuition reimbursement. Performance bonuses and merit increases are offered. Location noted: Douglas County, CO, US.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years‘ experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process
- Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth
- Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care
- AWHONN‘s and AACN‘s practice standards and certifications including RNC-OB, C-EFM, NRP and CCRN guide evidence-based care models
- Clinical Educators support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation
