Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care in a geropsych setting on PM shift (3pm-11:30pm). Regularly assesses patients, develops and administers individualized plans of care, documents care and evaluates outcomes. Welcomes patients, maintains a safe therapeutic milieu, assigns rounds and tracks precaution records. Collaborates with Admissions/Transfers and ensures thorough handoffs. Interacts with patients, families and health-care providers to analyze data for discharge planning; participates in interdisciplinary planning; contributes to department goals and professional development. Supervises direct patient care as required, manages budgetary constraints related to staffing and supplies, and participates in training and program evaluation. Maintains confidentiality and adheres to organizational policies; seeks guidance as needed. Endorsement of magnet-status facilities and commitment to patient-centered care. Must hold IL RN license, CPR certification, and CPI within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing degree
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire
