Job Summary
Registered Nurse with current Alabama license; 3-5 years of RN experience, preferably in Family Planning, Women’s Health, or Public Health; minimum 1 year of Surgical/OR experience, including administering IV medication. Strong clinical skills and decision-making ability; able to counsel and educate patients one-to-one; able to work independently; multitask and prioritize; good communication skills; English required, some Spanish preferred; able to work with diverse populations; long-term interest in reproductive health care, education, and advocacy; committed to Planned Parenthood’s mission and goals; willingness to work with staff and volunteers; professional demeanor and appearance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Registered Nurse with current AL license
- CPR training and certification
- 3-5 years of experience working as an RN, preferably in Family Planning, Women’s Health, or Public Health
- Minimum 1 year of Surgical/OR experience, including administering IV medication
- Strong clinical skills and decision-making ability
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Good communication skills and ability to provide counseling and patient education one-to-one
- Able to work independently and be self-starter
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and maintain productivity
- Good computer skills, including internet/email
- English required, some Spanish speaking skills preferred

- Ability to provide objective information about all pregnancy options (abortion, adoption, parenting)
