Job Summary
The Registered Nurse in the PICU is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role includes directing and coordinating nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Effective collaboration with other professional disciplines to ensure efficient patient care delivery is essential. The position requires an Associate degree in Nursing and licensure as a Registered Nurse in Texas. Critical thinking, communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to use computers for documentation are vital.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas or Compact Licensure
- At least one year experience required for Part Time, PRN, Contract, and Travelers roles
- Certification by Unit Departments upon Hire and obtained within specified time frames for CPR and Advanced Life Support certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.)
