Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for critically ill pediatric patients within the 40-bed PICU, providing safe, family-centered services including supervision and delegation to support staff. You will adhere to state scope of practice and Seattle Children's policies while integrating strategic initiatives like continuous performance improvement and error prevention. Must hold a current Washington State RN license, maintain BLS certification (or PALS/PEARS), and possess either prior pediatric experience or adult ICU background with training provided. Compensation ranges from $51.60 to $91.30 per hour for a 0.9FTE day/night rotator role.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Washington State RN License, or other current state license that the RN is required to work in
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Prior experience in a pediatric related health care setting, or a specific area of nursing
- Pediatric health care nursing experience
- 2 years Pediatric acute care or Adult ICU experience
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification
