Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments, evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards. Maintain a current RN license and Basic Life Support certification. Push, pull, and lift 50 pounds regularly while enduring prolonged standing, walking, and physical movements including gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
