Registered Nurse - PICC

Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients while synthesizing data to optimize outcomes based on ANA standards. Recognize the need for collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to proactively resolve patient needs. Coordinate patient and family education throughout the treatment course to facilitate effective transitions of care. Perform validated technical skills and utilize technology to optimize alternative modes of care delivery. Teach and mentor new colleagues, interns, and department members as assigned. Delegate tasks based on team member skills, patient acuity, and time availability. Participate in all phases of the performance improvement process, including organizational and unit-based patient experience goals.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania
- Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
- Sunday-Saturday, Variable days, full time 40 hours per week
- 10-hour day shifts: 8 am-6:30 pm
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
- Occasional travel to other campus sites required
