Registered Nurse - Physician Practice

Prepare patients for examinations including basic diagnostic interviewing, rooming, administering medications and vaccines, wound care, and assisting with procedures within the physician office setting. Provide care to designated patients, coordinate care across the continuum, and educate patients on prescription medications and clinical concerns under provider direction. Facilitate coordination of care by ensuring labs, studies, and referrals are completed and results discussed with patients. Perform patient care procedures using sound clinical judgment, clean and sterilize instruments, and assess patient readiness to learn. Intervene to prevent or correct patient risks based on observation of physiological, behavioral, and environmental factors. Comply with monitoring and documentation standards, act as a resource for patient and family members, and triage calls to appropriate levels of care. Work Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with shifts ranging from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Health Network's Cedar Crest, Muhlenberg, Hazleton, or Pocono locations.
