Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to patients using critical thinking skills to assess conditions, recognize deviations, and evaluate progress. Delegate patient care tasks to other staff and function as a team member to fulfill unit goals. Render care in a per diem capacity with varying hours based on department needs, working a six-week schedule with approximately six call shifts. Maintain current Illinois licensure, BLS certification, and obtain ACLS and PALS within ninety days of start date. Endeavor Health serves over 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties through eight acute care hospitals recognized for nursing excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing or higher level nursing degree (BSN required within 5 years from start date)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within ninety days of start date into position
- Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within ninety days of start date into position
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within ninety days of start date into position
- Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within ninety days of start date into position
