Job Summary
Manage individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through assessment, planning, and implementation of treatment services for obstetrics patients. Administer medications, perform medication reconciliation, and document narcotic withdrawals and discrepancies per policy. Develop and update prioritized plans of care, initiate admission assessments within eight hours, and reassess patient comfort and needs continuously. Verify patient identification before invasive procedures, comply with CDC hand hygiene guidelines, and ensure environmental regulatory requirements are met. Collaborate with patient and family in care planning, facilitate discharge by noon, and communicate daily plans via whiteboard. Maintain a minimum of 16 hours over two shifts per four-week schedule, working varied shifts including holidays. Requires RN licensure and ACLS/BLS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Emergency Response Training Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) Certification
- Minimum Education - Preferred Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous Acute Care RN experience
- Commits to working a minimum of 16 hours over two (2) shifts per 4 week schedule
- Also works 1 day before or after a major summer or winter holiday
