Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments, collect health data, and coordinate care plans to ensure interventions are safe, timely, and appropriate. Individualize patient and family teaching based on thorough assessments and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice standards while maintaining professional knowledge of current laws and regulations. This per diem Level I role at Northwest Community Hospital requires working nights from 7:00pm to 7:30am, with a mandatory 48-hour minimum every 6 weeks including weekend coverage. Successful candidates must hold an Associate's or BSN degree, current Illinois nursing licensure, and American Heart Association CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Intermediate Care Unit - Nights
- Must be able to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks which includes 24 hours of time on weekends
- Hours: 7:00pm - 7:30am
- Must be able to attend nursing orientation the first week of starting on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, from about 8:00am -4:30pm and the second week on Tuesday from 8:00am -4:30pm
- Required Travel: No
- Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
