Job Summary
Per diem Registered Nurse position at Kent School in Kent, CT, providing emergency and routine nursing care on campus. Responsibilities include applying nursing theory and practice to holistically care for students, documenting all visits and follow-up care, monitoring patient status and ensuring safety and comfort, collaborating with the healthcare team (including Counseling and Athletic Trainers), reporting to the School Physician, maintaining CT RN license and BLS certification, adhering to Connecticut State Nursing Act and facility policies, and communicating effectively with staff, students, patients, and families. Requires a BSN or higher (or equivalent), 2+ years of nursing experience, strong communication, professionalism, and flexibility to work per diem, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing and 2 years of work experience.
- Active Connecticut registered nursing license and current BLS certification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Caring and compassionate attitude.
- Professional demeanor.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment criminal background checks and drug test.
