Job Summary
Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the nursing process. Deliver safe and effective care while interacting with the healthcare team to achieve desired results. Work at least one weekend or night shift per 6-week schedule and take call for the unit based on needs. Commit to 4-12 hour shifts per 6-week schedule at Tier III ($47/hr) or 5-12 hour shifts at Tier IV ($50/hr). Notify supervisor of absence at least 4 hours prior to shift start. Per Diem employees fill vacant shifts after full-time and part-time staff are scheduled.
Required Qualifications
- Competent to work in one of the following areas: Med Surg/Tele/Ambulatory Care OR/PACU/Cath Lab Emergency Dept. Neurology & Critical Care
- Work at least (1) weekend or night shift per 6-week schedule
- Work (or take call) two holidays per year, (1 major and 1 minor)
- Must designate shift availability 14 days prior to shift assignment
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current South Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA)
