Job Summary
Per diem Registered Nurse at an infusion clinic in Orchard Park, NY. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapeutic agents and IV infusions, assessing lab results and vital signs, preparing medications and chemotherapeutic agents, obtaining vascular access (Peripheral IV, A-port, or PICC), patient education on discharge/post-treatment, monitoring patients during infusion, phlebotomy, phone triage, complying with ONS and QOPI safety standards, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, integrated care. Requirements include NY RN license and BLS; oncology nursing experience is preferred; EMR experience (Medent/Onco/Allscripts/Soarian) and familiarity with Windows/Office software are noted; ongoing education and compliance with HIPAA and department policies are expected.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- The equivalent of one (1) year of fulltime oncology nursing experience (preferred) or similar experience
- Experience with EMR software (Medent/Onco/Allscripts/Soarian)
- Must have knowledge of Windows and Office software
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
- OCN Certification preferred
- BLS required
