Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients on the Psych Unit while demonstrating competent clinical decision-making skills. Provide considerate, respectful care focused on individual needs, including assessment and treatment of geriatric patients. Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees by adhering to hospital policies and reporting unsafe conditions. Demonstrate accountability for work performance and commit to service excellence and quality improvement. Lead through clinical practice, supervision, and teaching while acquiring and maintaining current competency in nursing practice. Minimum commitment of 6 shifts per 42-day schedule with hourly rates ranging from $44.88 to $68.11.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum commitment of 6 shifts per 42 day schedule
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
- BLS required
- Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
- Some occupational risk
- Medium to Heavy effort
- May exert up to 35 lbs. force
- Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
