Registered Nurse-Per Diem-Dallas, TX

Provide clinical and administrative support for pediatric patients in an urgent care setting. Responsibilities include obtaining medical histories and vital signs, performing venipuncture, IV insertion, urinary catheterization, administering medications (oral, rectal, IM, IV), and assisting the physician with total patient care within the scope of practice under physician supervision. Maintain knowledge of pediatric pharmacology, assist with patient care, support exam rooms with supplies, equipment sterilization, and charting while upholding HIPAA and safety standards. Contribute to quality control efforts, assist with x-ray procedures, improve urgent care flow and throughput, and maintain professional rapport with patients, families, and staff. Qualifications include active nursing license, pediatric experience, BLS, and strong communication and teamwork skills.
