Registered Nurse - Per Diem

Assess psychiatric and substance abuse patients presenting to the ED, manage agitated or combative patients, and collaborate with on-call staff for appropriate disposition. Demonstrate understanding of psychotropic medications, complete all required documentation and legal papers, and communicate effectively with ED staff to promote timely patient movement. Review clinical information to detect significant treatment issues, respond to liaison requests with assessment and follow-up, and complete insurance precertifications within established time frames. Return urgent phone calls within 15 minutes and accept transfers in accordance with established guidelines.
