Job Summary
Provide comprehensive nursing care in a hospice setting, performing initial and ongoing patient and family assessments, developing and revising plans of care with patient/family, delivering professional nursing care using the nursing process, documenting pain/symptom management, communicating with physicians, educating patients/families in self-care, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team; position requires travel within the Bristol Hospice Service Area and active licensure in the state.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least one (1) year of acute care experience in an institutional setting
- One (1) year of experience in home care preferred
- Must have a current licensure in the state
- Must understand the philosophy of hospice concept and understand needs of the terminally ill
- Must be flexible in work hours
- Must demonstrate nursing skills per competency checklist
- Must demonstrate a willingness to maintain comprehensive working knowledge regarding information systems and applicable software programs
- Ability to travel throughout the Bristol Hospice Service Area
