Registered Nurse, Per Diem, Bed Management, Atlantic Health Clinical Operations Center

Coordinate bed management and optimize capacity availability across the system by conducting site-based bed rounds during high census, surge, and emergency situations. Prioritize patient discharge and placement based on acuity and the 15-minute bed placement rule, while delegating stat bed cleaning and transport requests between Beds and Dispatch. Anticipate potential problem situations to offset adverse impacts on clinical operations and intervene in emergent maintenance requirements. Act as a liaison for AHS sites, managing customer interactions, coordinating department huddles, and ensuring courteous telephone etiquette. Report directly to the Nurse Manager for Clinical Operations, escalating site or team concerns as needed.
