Job Summary
Provide nursing care and coordinate medical services for individuals in assigned IRA sites, including assessments, intervention planning, treatment, and medication administration. Monitor medical care and consult on individual needs via 24/7 telephone triage for clients and staff. Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, and hygiene while implementing care plans for positioning, feeding, and behavior modification. Administer AMAP certifications, supervise certified staff, and coordinate services with residences, schools, and day programs. Record monthly progress notes and attend in-service training to maintain knowledge in developmental disabilities and medical care.
Required Qualifications
- Updated First Aid/CPR certifications
- Completion of mandated course: Infection Control, Abuse/Incident Reporting
- Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
- 2-3 years working with adults that has developmental disabilities
- Associates degree
