Job Summary
Provide 16-bed Pediatric PICU care during night shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, including weekend and holiday rotations. Maintain Illinois RN licensure, BLS certification, and PALS certification within three months of start date. Prioritize family-centered care across a 16-bed unit while managing patient needs during the 36-hour workweek. Endeavor Health serves over 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties through eight acute care hospitals, including Edward and Swedish facilities. This role offers a $25,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with at least 18 months of PICU experience and includes comprehensive benefits such as tuition reimbursement, retirement matching, and wellness programs.
Required Qualifications
- Illinois Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
- Current BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association
- Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date into position
- Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
- Full Time - 36 hours
- Nights 7pm-7:30am Includes weekend and holiday rotations
