Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive care management in outpatient settings, including primary and specialty care, while collaborating with physicians and advanced practitioners. Gathers patient information and vital signs, administers medications and vaccines, performs diagnostic screenings, and collects specimens. Accurately places orders in the EMR, relays lab results, provides patient education, and documents care timely. Responds to urgent acute situations and coordinates care with in-house specialties and community resources. Adheres to industry guidelines, department protocols, and HIPAA confidentiality standards. Maintain required certifications and complete mandatory educational requirements. Work 34 hours per week across four shifts.
Required Qualifications
- ADN or BSN from an accredited institution
- 0+ years of experience
- Unencumbered active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maine
- BLS required within 6 weeks of hire
- Excellent professional judgement
- Phone skills
- Prioritization decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
- Electronic medical record (EMR) experience
