Job Summary
Lead and deliver professional nursing care in a Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting for patients from newborn to 18 years old. Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient and family teaching. Implement medically prescribed interventions and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care and improved clinical outcomes in a specialized, 24/7 critical care environment. Requires BSN (or enrollment with BSN advancement), current NC RN licensure (eNLC may apply), BLS/PALS/BLS-HCP, and 1–2 years PICU experience; Masters in Nursing preferred. A sign-on bonus is available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in BSN and obtain BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position (Grandfathering accepted between departments and Mission Health entities)
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
- Prior PICU experience (one to two years)
- Masters in Nursing preferred
