Job Summary
Registered Nurse-Pediatrics ICU at Mission Hospital PICU in Western NC seeks a nurse to lead professional care for pediatric patients, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care and teaching for patients and families. Requires BSN (or enrollment with plan to obtain BSN within 5 years); RN licensure (NCBON or applicable eNLC); BLS, PALS; 1-2 years PICU experience; Masters in Nursing preferred. Eligible for a sign-on bonus. Mission Hospital emphasizes collaborative care, advanced pediatric critical care, and a commitment to improving outcomes for children from newborn to 18 years old.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in BSN with plan to obtain BSN within 5 years
- RN license in North Carolina or eNLC license applicable per NCBON guidance
- Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Preferred: Masters in Nursing
- Prior PICU experience (1-2 years)
- Exemption tracking for BSN exemptions as applicable by facility
- Ability to provide leadership in nursing care and use nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
- Good documentation and teaching of patients and families
