Job Summary
Provides leadership facilitating the delivery of professional nursing care for pediatric patients in the PICU; utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families; implements medically prescribed interventions; RN role requires BSN (or enrollment with BSN to be obtained within 5 years) and active NC RN licensure; eNLC license may apply; BLS, PALS certifications required; prior PICU experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BSN or enrollment in BSN with obligation to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- Current RN license with North Carolina Board of Nursing
- eNLC license may apply
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- BLS Healthcare Provider
- Prior PICU experience 1-2 years
