Job Summary

Support the care team by providing and documenting nursing care, triaging patients per approved protocols, and answering phone calls to route messages using the EHR. Perform preventive screenings, administer injections, and educate patients on self-management while maintaining accurate records of vitals, medications, and chief complaints. Coordinate services from other providers, schedule tests and follow-up visits, and conduct outreach to ensure patients adhere to care plans. Monitor task lists for overdue orders, order supplies and vaccines, and prepare equipment including sterilization. Conduct orientation and training for clinical support staff on clinical issues. Maintain knowledge of coding, OSHA, and CLIA regulations to assure smooth office operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted RN licensure in CT
  • 1+ years of nursing experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be available for rotating Saturdays (8:00am-12:00pm)
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday schedule
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
  • Must be able to effectively manage the team's quarterly review cycle
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and staff
  • Must be able to effectively document patient interactions and clinical activities
  • Must be able to effectively triage patients according to approved protocols
  • Must be able to effectively answer and document patient phone calls
  • Must be able to effectively provide and document patient care such as giving injections
  • Must be able to effectively educate patients regarding their illness or injury
  • Must be able to effectively carry out standing orders
  • Must be able to effectively schedule tests, treatments and follow up visits
  • Must be able to effectively conduct outreach to patients
  • Must be able to effectively monitor task list and respond to tasks
  • Must be able to effectively order supplies and vaccines
  • Must be able to effectively prepare and maintain equipment including sterilization
  • Must be able to effectively conduct orientation of clinical support staff
  • Must be able to effectively maintain knowledge of current coding, OSHA and CLIA regulations
  • Must be able to effectively assist care team to assure smooth office operation
  • Must be able to effectively perform other duties as assigned
  • Must be able to pass a drug test before beginning employment
