Job Summary
Night shift pediatric acute care nurse per diem in Illinois. Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers. Coordinates patient plan of care to ensure interventions are safe, timely, and appropriate. Communicates clearly with patients, families, and health care team in person, by phone, and in writing. Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment to meet learning needs. Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice through quality improvement initiatives. Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations. Requires either an Associate's degree or BSN and active nursing license in Illinois, plus CPR certification. Per diem position with rotating weekends and rotating holidays; hours are 7 pm–7 am; travel requirement: none. Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an Associate's degree or BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association
