Job Summary
Provides immediate and specialized pediatric emergency care in a dedicated pediatric ED. Quickly assesses pediatric patients, prioritizes care based on severity, and implements life-saving interventions. Delivers family-centered care while collaborating with pediatric ED physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to provide excellent care. Explains treatment plans and procedures to patients and families, offers emotional support, maintains hospital/unit competencies, and coordinates transition of care for admitted patients.
Required Qualifications
- PALS
- ACLS
- ENPC or TNCC
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
