Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Pediatric ER, PRN Nights at Williamson Health. Provides immediate and specialized care to children with acute illnesses or injuries in a dedicated pediatric emergency department. Quickly assesses pediatric patients, prioritizes care based on severity, and implements live-saving interventions. Works closely with board-certified pediatric emergency physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists to deliver care; explains treatment plans to patients and families, offering emotional support. Maintains unit and hospital competencies; coordinates transition of care for admitted patients with the pediatric acute care team. Focuses on family-centered care and supports ongoing learning and development. Requires pediatric emergency nursing experience (at least 1 year preferred) and completion of hospital-affiliated certifications within 6 months of hire. Required Qualifications
- Courses offered through the hospital and required within 6 months of hire: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)
