Job Summary
Provide frontline pediatric emergency nursing care in the Washington, DC area as a Registered Nurse in the ER. Assess and treat pediatric patients with trauma, injury, or acute medical conditions; monitor patient health, administer medications, operate medical equipment, and participate in code blue and other emergencies. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans, determine discharge needs or longer hospital stays, and educate patients and families about conditions and care plans. Required Qualifications
- ADN or higher degree in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certification preferred
- 1+ years of experience in a pediatric and/or emergency room (ER) setting preferred
- Experience with pediatric medical equipment and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of healthcare professionals, children, and families
