Job Summary
Provide immediate and specialized care to children in a dedicated pediatric emergency department. Assess patient needs quickly, prioritize based on severity, and implement live-saving interventions. Collaborate with pediatric emergency physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists. Communicate treatment plans to patients and families, offering emotional support. Maintain unit competencies and coordinate transitions of care for admitted patients. Requires at least 1 year of pediatric emergency experience preferred; certification courses (PALS, ACLS, ENPC/TNCC, NVCI) are required within six months of hire.
