Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients with special medical needs, particularly those diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by the physician while monitoring and assessing patient conditions. Educate and support families on proper care techniques, including feeding, mobility, and the use of medical equipment. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Perform routine medical tasks such as checking vital signs, managing feeding tubes, and assisting with daily activities. Maintain accurate medical records and participate in ongoing education to stay current with best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License in the State of Georgia
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to nursing
- Ability to work well with a team and communicate effectively with both colleagues and families
- Current CPR and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or willingness to obtain it
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children with Cerebral Palsy or similar neurological conditions
- Knowledge of medical equipment that is commonly used in pediatric care, such as ventilators, feeding pumps, and mobility aids
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
