Job Summary
Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for surgical patients by accepting assignments, conducting patient assessments, and communicating with clinical teams. Administer medications and treatments per policy while documenting care and patient responses timely. Educate patients and families on procedures, expectations, and discharge planning; involve them in care prioritization. Perform post-op calls, analyze verbal responses, and make competent clinical decisions to ensure safe environments. Provide physicians with updates on patient conditions and apply evidence-based practice to meet age-specific clinical needs. Maintain constant alertness and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration
- Registered Nurse (RN) Issued by Compact State
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
