Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in an intensive care setting, initiating corrective action for adverse symptomology from monitoring equipment and responding to life-threatening situations with decisive judgment and composure. Manage critical, high-acuity patient populations in a technically complex environment while operating with minimal supervision. Requires 6 months of ICU or PCU nursing experience and state licensure. Full-time, 72-hour pay period with day and night rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of ICU or PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
- Day and Night Rotation
- Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
- Provides direct patient care in an intensive care setting at a proficient level, in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice with the policies, values, and mission of the organization
- Initiates corrective action whenever information from monitoring/life support equipment shows adverse symptomology
- Responds to life threatening situations utilizing nursing standards and protocols for treatment
- Provides critical care nursing to a complex high acuity patient population in a technically complex environment
- Handles critical and highly stressful situations, reacting decisively with efficiency and composure
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
