Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Progressive Care Unit using the nursing process; maintain professional accountability for patient care; evaluate care effectiveness of other direct care givers; coordinate patient care with other departments; uphold patient rights and confidentiality; align with Mercy mission and values; participate in certification requirements as dictated by unit; meet physical demands of the role; contribute to a collaborative healthcare team while delivering comprehensive nursing care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- current RN license within hiring state and/or compact licensure
- experience as an RN in a hospital/PCU setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with additional certifications as required by unit/position (ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM)
- physical ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs and perform essential mobility tasks
