Job Summary
Administer and monitor medications while providing individualized attention to clients to maintain their physical, dental, and psychosocial well-being. Monitor clients for changes in condition or behavior, promptly reporting incidents or evidence of abuse to the Nursing Supervisor. Document all medical care services rendered according to Pathway policy and state requirements. Communicate with physicians, transcribe orders, and interact effectively with clients, families, and the multidisciplinary treatment team. Maintain confidentiality of protected health information and participate in staff development training. Available on-call for emergency consultations and interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school with an Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Master's Degree in Nursing
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Licensed in the state of Alabama
- Minimum of six months experience in the provision of nursing services
- Experience preferably in a similar treatment environment
- Energetic individual with high ethical standards
- Appropriate professional image
- Trustworthy
- Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality when dealing with clients, proprietary information, and sensitive situations
- Articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of the laws, regulations, and standards related to the provision of behavioral health care
- Valid Alabama Driver License
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents
- Ability to respond effectively (verbally and/or in writing) to inquiries or complaints from licensing agency representatives, staff, clients, and family members
- Ability to calculate figures related to medication dosages
- Must be 21
- Bachelor's
