Job Summary
Conduct patient care using the nursing process, maintaining accountability for assigned patients and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld. Maintain professional standards consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and ability to lift 50 pounds with prolonged standing and walking. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire

- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) Six Assessment &Care Modules
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit specific certifications as required
