Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while administering medications safely and maintaining accurate, confidential documentation. Identify physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and families, develop individualized care plans, and provide education including discharge instructions. Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, communicate patient status changes, and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Perform technical skills such as Rapid Strep testing, urinalysis, I-Stat testing, CBC, and urine drug screening. Adhere to infection prevention protocols, emergency preparedness, and safety regulations including fall prevention and equipment checks.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN License or RN Temporary Permit in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous nursing experience in an acute care, clinic, or ambulatory setting
- Additional specialty certifications applicable to the practice area
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-based healthcare environment
