Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process while administering medications safely and maintaining accurate documentation. Coordinate care across departments with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, develop individualized care plans, and provide patient education including discharge instructions. Perform technical skills such as rapid strep testing, urinalysis, I-Stat testing, and breath alcohol testing. Identify and resolve issues involving patients, families, and staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Maintain a safe environment through infection control protocols and proper identification procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN License or RN Temporary Permit in the state of practice
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Desired Qualifications
- Previous nursing experience in an acute care, clinic, or ambulatory setting
- Additional specialty certifications applicable to the practice area
- Experience working in a collaborative, team-based healthcare environment
