Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health for a brand-new adult unit opening (up to 10 beds) that is part-time. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to provide patient care, evaluating care effectiveness, coordinating patient care with other departments, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and adhering to Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications include nursing education (Associate/Diploma/BSN), active RN license (state or compact), BLS (and other certifications such as ACLS/NRP/ENPC/TNCC/CPHON/OCN/PALS/PEARS/S.T.A.B.L.E./C-EFM as required), ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work in a behavioral health setting with opportunities for sign-on bonuses up to $10,000 and benefits such as shift differential and 401(k). Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure as a registered nurse
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM or other unit-specific certifications may be required depending on unit/position
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, and reaching
- Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing preferred
- Shift differential and benefits eligibility for 32+ hours per pay period
