Job Summary
Experienced RN in Post Anesthesia Care Unit/Surgical Care Center providing perioperative nursing care, coordinating ancillary staff, and supporting patient families. Demonstrates independent decision-making, leadership in nursing councils, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Requires NYS RN licensure, CPR/BLS, ACLS within one year; PALS, CPAN/CAPA preferred. Education of AAS or BSN and 2+ years medical/surgical experience preferred. Location is Canandaigua, NY; on-site role with Thompson Health. CARES values and strong communication/customer service skills emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- NYS licensed registered nurse required
- Current CPR/BLS required
- ACLS within one year required
- PALS preferred
- CPAN/CAPA preferred
- Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing, either AAS or BSN
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of medical/surgical experience preferred
- Cardiac monitoring preferred
- Critical care preferred
- Good Communication skills and skilled in customer service
- Reliability and flexibility
