Job Summary
Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. Perform scrub functions including instrument and supply handling. Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing nursing care before, during and after procedures. Directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure, and patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments/equipment for use.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support within 6 Months of hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS Provider within 1 Month of hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
