Registered Nurse PACU PRN Days

Administer complex patient care in the PACU, monitoring specialized equipment like intracranial and central venous pressures while interpreting cardiac rhythms and managing ventilators. Respond to life-saving situations and adjust ECMO circuits, optimizing perfusion and administering blood products under physician direction. Coordinate care for Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation patients, manage transport, and troubleshoot equipment during crises. Document patient assessments, medications, and treatments consistently. Work as a preceptor, charge nurse, or educator to support new staff and students. Maintain punctual attendance and comply with Baptist Health policies. Attend mandatory quarterly simulations and staff development meetings. This role supports the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and contributes to continuous quality improvement within our 252-bed acute care facility.
