Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients undergoing surgical, pain management, and endoscopic procedures in the PACU environment. Monitor physiological status, manage pain, and communicate with surgeons and anesthesiologists regarding patient conditions. Perform head-to-toe pre-procedure assessments and reassess post-procedure as needed. Maintain PHA and PACU equipment and inventory while participating in performance improvement activities. Adhere to regulatory agency requirements, nursing policies, and hospital standards. This per diem role supports the Northern Nevada Health System's commitment to quality care and personalized service excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Current Nevada nursing license
- Current BLS certificate
- Current ACLS required
- Handle with Care (or obtained within six months of employment) in required speciality
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
Desired Qualifications
- One year full time or three years part time experience in acute care PACU setting
